Goose egg seconds may have one bump or more, a textured surface, slight crease line, or a shallow pit(s) in one area. Sprucing up the appearence by wet sanding will help the overall eggshell surface.  
Solid, no holes or cracks.

MEDIUM: 3.65 - 4.00" (9.27 - 10.1 cm.)
LARGE: 4.01 - 4.25" (10.19 - 10.79 cm)
XL: 4.26 - 4.45" (10.82 - 11.15 cm.)
XXL: 4.46 - 4.95"+ (11.33 - 12.57 cm.)
"SECONDS" are great for crafts where the bumps may be hidden or can be incorporated into the design. The calcium bumps are natural to some eggs. What a great hanging ornament -the sizing is perfect! 
  • Carvers - may be able to work flawlessly.  
  • Cut pedestals/platforms.  
  • Trinket boxes - be able to hide bump(s) on the bottom or in the embellishments. 
  • Pysanky - designs can be incorporated to hide bump(s) & slight creases. Often the darker dyes hide imperfections or may add character to the result. 
  • Decoupage - easily hidden.  
  • Paint and create a textured scene.

Fact: A small egg may weigh very little, but the packing material and the box make up the difference.   An ostrich egg without packing material weighs 0.325+ kg or 0.72+ LBS. (proven in the INTRODUCTION box at the top of the store page).

  • What you need to know...

    All eggshells are candled against cracks and other defects. Guaranteed structurally sound.

    Eggshells have one small drilled hole, centred, on the wide end bottom, blown out, washed (no harsh chemicals) & rinsed inside and outside of the shell.  Eggshells are air-dried. The cleaning process will not affect dyes or other materials

    • Remove all wraps after receiving your package and inspect all the eggshells.  
    • PLEASE BE SURE TO ALLOW 24 -48 hours in house temperature before use.
