It is also a special gift at Easter to present a pysanka to the ones you love as a symbol of hope, rebirth and unity. It is also tradition to write on a full yolk egg. The yolk symbolizing new birth. The tradition has become a desired form of art for Ukrainians, non-Ukrainian and Slavic people internationally and a full-time hobby. It is a love of the art which teaches the culture's richness and diversity to people who become familiar with Ukrainian Pysanky. In today's times the writing has not changed, however, the tools and techniques have revolutionized becoming more modern including electric kistky tools and blown-out eggshells.
