DESCRIPTION:
Emu eggs come in different textures, colours, and sizes.
  • Eggshells can be sanded before use for artistic purposes. The smoother sanded eggshell may have the depth in colour as the original, but will have many layers to explore. 
COLOUR:  green, blue and charcoal with texture. (very few spots to none). 
SIZES: Small to Large. Occasionally XL. 
Ideal uses: Carving, etching, scratching, education, collectors, and various other crafts.

  • What you need to know...

    All eggshells are candled against cracks and other defects. Guaranteed structurally sound.

    Eggshells have one small drilled hole, centred, on the wide end bottom, blown out, washed (no harsh chemicals) & rinsed inside and outside of the shell.  Eggshells are air-dried. The cleaning process will not affect dyes or other materials. If stains or shadows are present on white egg surfaces, they will disappear during dyes and etching. Optional: Plug the drain hole and soak in vinegar for 1 minute. A light scrub and rinse. (The natural colour egg will lose the surface tint - not recommended) 

    • Remove all wraps after receiving your package and inspect all the eggshells.  
    • PLEASE BE SURE TO ALLOW 24 -48 hours in house temperature before use.
